Special news for International Potters' Day
Keith Brymer Jones joins forces with folk duo Lunatraktors
If you’ve been to see the Life, Clay & Everything show, you’ll know the brilliant call-to-arms ending (and if you haven’t seen the show - scroll down for upcoming dates). The finale music is by alt-folk duo Lunatraktors, and to mark International Potters’ Day today, we’re pleased to say it will be released as a single on 7th June, and here’s the link to pre-save it. You can also find it on Bandcamp.
Lunatraktors are choreographer and percussionist Carli Jefferson (she/her), and vocalist and researcher Clair Le Couteur (they/them). Stripping Anglo-Celtic traditional music back to its bare bones, the duo’s 'broken folk' fuses Clair Le Couteur’s self-taught vocal overtones and 3+ octave range with Carli Jefferson’s incendiary hybrid of tap dance, flamenco and body percussion, developed after touring with Stomp.
“The most important thing we want to promote is this idea of creativity being the key to wellbeing. It must be available to all,” say Lunatraktors, “Arts education is essential, now more than ever. It’s about love, care and accessibility.”
