Well, it’s time - tomorrow (Sunday 5th May) sees the first airing of the programme we’ve been making for what seems like forever, Our Welsh Chapel Dream. This new four-part series sees Keith and Marj buy Capel Salem in Pwllheli, bring in an architect, and start work to make their new home and studio.
It’s shot with Love Productions, who also make The Great Pottery Throw Down. It’s an intimate bit of television-making: “Having our tiny crew has felt like hanging out with our pals to be honest,” Marj says, “I would regard everyone we’ve worked with so far as a friend. Our director Miles has done a fantastic job in only recruiting folk that would be a good fit for us, and i really think that has added to the tonal quality of the show.”
The press response to the programme has been wonderful, too.
It’s been a genuine joy making the series, Keith and Marj say, and it is honest in capturing the highs and lows of this restoration project. “Probably the best bit of filming was having our own personal guide to Portmeirion,” says Marj, “Meurig Rees Jones was a fabulous chap.” That trip to the eccentric Welsh village, not far from Pwllheli, features in episode 1.
We look forward to seeing what you think - we’ve opened up the comments for you, just this once!

I've watched with my mother, a preservationist architect. We've absolutely loved this. Crossing our fingers for further seasons to get to see how things progress!
